¹ Coating thickness and the depth of gradient diffusion depend on the design of the specific unit and its operating conditions, the materials of the friction pair (steel, cast iron, aluminium alloys, etc.), the initial wear, the operating conditions during and after treatment, the revitalizant dosage and the number of repeat treatments.
² In the Chinese reports of 2001–2002, XADO revitalizant appears under the local trade name Moshen (摩圣) and the designation PBC; documents of those years also use the earlier name of the technology, RVS. This page uses the word “revitalizant” throughout.
A layer measured in micrometres and tooth growth measured in tenths of a millimetre describe different phenomena and do not add up on one scale.
